So you want to be able to receive support from your adoring fans. OozeBear uses Stripe as it's credit card software processor to do this. In order to allow fans to send you support you need to setup your Stripe account through OozeBear.
Here are the 3 steps below:
Sign in to your OozeBear account. Then go to MENU > ENABLE SUPPORT WITH STRIPE link. This will redirect you to the Stripe registration page.
Complete the Stripe registration form.
TIPS FOR STRIPE'S FORM
Most OozeBear performers are individuals. You can fill out the "Business Address", "Business phone" and put "Individual, sole preprietor, or single-member LLC" as the "Type of business". Stripe will handle all tax related information for you.
For "Business website" you can put https://www.oozebear.com
For the "Business description" dropdown you can put "Other entertainment"
For the "Business description" text block you can put "I am an OozeBear performer."
For "How long after paying will your customers typically receive their goods or services" you can put in the same day. Fans are not receiving any physical goods through OozeBear only their support for your performances.
For "Statement descriptor" you can put your OozeBear Username plus OozeBear. For example "EBONECAPONE OOZEBEAR".
For "Routing number" and "Account number" you will need to grab a check or look up your bank account information in order to receive payments.
The rest of the inputs are relatively simple to fill in but if you have any questions feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
How does OozeBear make money to support the platform?
OozeBear receives a 30% platform fee on support sent to the performers in order to develop, maintain, expand the capabilities of the platform for all performers and audiences.
Does OozeBear record everything on every stage or 1 on 1 call?
OozeBear only records the live stages that are on air. OozeBear does not record or preserve any of the conversations that happen on "1 On 1" calls.
Why can't I find the recording of a stage?
The recordings of live stages are not immediately released. They must be made public by the stage's creator under "MY RECORDINGS" in the main menu.
Why can't I connect to 1 On 1 calls or live stages?
The most likely reason is that you are on an iPhone, iPad, or the Safari browser. The underlying technology that OozeBear uses has not yet been accepted by Apple but hopefully will soon. (We need to keep pestering them about it.) In the meanwhile, you should try using a PC, Mac, and Android device and connect through either Chrome or Firefox browsers. iPhone, iPads, and the Safari browser are still able to always listen to past stage recordings, just not connect to live stages.
If you are still having connection problems try clicking here to logout of any potential guest OozeBear accounts you may have created and then try logging back in.
If you've tried all of that and are still having trouble, you can contact support at email@example.com
Where do I go if I have a complaint about another user?
You can email OozeBear support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
